Rummaging through my tea drawer for my favorite tea ingredients is one of life's simple pleasures for me. I love playing with colors, flavors, and effects, experimenting until I find that perfect blend of herbs and spices. Because I love incorporating CBD into my daily life, I also add decarboxylated hemp flower to my teas. I enjoy the Half Baked hemp flower for most of my teas, but for anything tangy, the Raspberry Crème is a great addition. Here are a couple of recipes to try next time you want more than just your average tea. The fun part is playing with the amounts and flavors, so don't be afraid to add other ingredients, omit the ones you don't like, or change up the ratios.

**All recipes make 2 cups – 16oz

**How to decarboxylate your hemp flower instructions below

Mermaid Magic – 16 oz

This tea is best enjoyed in a clear glass so you can watch the magic happen.

Add the following ingredients to a 20oz or larger cup/jar/container:

  • Raspberry Leaf – 2 tbsp/2 tea bag

  • Butterfly Pea Flowers – 10 dried flowers

  • Lavender (if you're not a fan of the taste of lavender, try switching it out with mint or basil) – 2 tsp dried

  • Rosehips – 6-ish pieces

  • Decarboxylated hemp flower – depends on the desired dosage. I use 1 tsp of ground hemp flower.

Pour 2 cups of hot water – bring to a boil, then let cool until the water is no hotter than 200 degrees F, usually about 45 seconds – over the combined ingredients.

Cover, and let steep for 7-10 minutes.

Strain the tea into two cups (or one large 16 oz cup).

Add a squeeze of lemon (1 slice per cup) and watch your magical tea change colors.

Add honey to taste.

None of these recipes much to your taste? Try adding hemp flower to your favorite tea blend or bag! Just decarboxylate the flower and add it to your cup.

To decarboxylate your hemp flower for use in tea:

1. Grind the desired amount of hemp flower into a crumbly texture.

2. Place your ground hemp flower on a parchment-lined baking sheet. (Cover the baking sheet with foil if you want to preserve more of the terpenes.)

3. Bake in the oven at 240 degrees F for about 20 minutes, toss the hemp flower, then bake for another 20 minutes.

**You can do the same thing in an air fryer with just a few minor changes. Wrap your ground hemp flower in a foil ball, leaving some room inside the ball to shake the ground hemp flower around halfway through. Poke a few small holes so air can escape.
